The City of Rancho Mirage is an oasis in the desert beneath the picturesque Santa Rosa Mountains.  The City (incorporated 1972 with a pop. of 17,000) is known for world-class resorts, shopping and dining, recreation, and culture, and is one of the most desirable communities to live, work and raise a family in Southern California. The City of Rancho Mirage maintains a very high commitment to and reputation for being responsive, delivering excellent public services, building and maintaining quality facilities and infrastructure, and achieving goals.  The City is seeking a collaborative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable manager, with a track record for getting projects successfully completed to serve as its City Engineer, a key member of the Public Works Department.  A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field is required and five (5) years of progressively responsible related civil, municipal and traffic engineering experience, including or supplemented by three (3) years in an administrative and supervisory capacity.  A Professional Engineering License with the State of California in Civil Engineering is required.  The salary range is $153,920 to $182,853, with a 4% cost of living on Jan. 1, 2026 and an excellent benefits package.
